Choir
photos
An informal choir leads the worship on Sunday mornings at the Parish Communion
service. There is a practice on Friday evenings at 7pm in church, to which anyone
is welcome would like to be part of this 'Music Ministry'. The choir sings a
wide range of music - including Taizé chants, traditional and modern songs and
hymns, and various anthems. Occasionally the choir sings at Weddings and special
services. For further details contact Denise Summers 01608-810639.

welcome. Tower grabs and other visits also welcome. For further details contact

St.Mary's is blessed with a talented team of flower arrangers. They work on
a rota basis to provide arrangements for every Sunday as well as for Weddings,
funerals and other occasions. Christmas, Easter and Harvest provide a real challenge
through the year - do visit our church to see their handiwork! For further details
contact Joan Marsh 01608-810029. BACK

Floodlighting
the Tower photos
The Church Tower is floodlit from September to March and provides quite a spectacular
night-time landmark for the town. For £10 you can sponsor the flood lighting
of the church tower for an evening - perhaps for someone's birthday, or in memory
of a loved one, or to celebrate an anniversary. If you wish, a card is placed
in church indicating the event and (if appropriate) you receive a card to send
to the person (or family) whose special event is being remembered. For further
details contact the Parish Administrator, Jan
Fielden. 01608-810286 BACK

Sunday
Club and Crèche
photos
These are held every Sunday Morning in term time. There are two groups, one
for 3-6 year olds, and another for 7-10 year olds. We are following the programme
'Roots' by Susan Sayers, which enables both children and adults to follow the
same pattern of Bible readings Sunday by Sunday. Bringing your children to Sunday
Club enables them to learn about the Christian faith and to grow into fully
participating members of the Church of Christ. Together we hope to enable children
to confirm their own commitment to Christ. For further details contact Christine
Pearce. St. Mary's PCC has implemented Child Protection Policy and Procedures.

from time. For more information please contact Kat on 01608 811660 or David
on 01608-810760, david.bn@btinternet.com

The
Friends of Shorthampton Church
All Saints Church lies within the parish, in the tiny agricultural hamlet of
Shorthampton. The building dates back to the 12th century and is still is regular
use for worship. Walkers on the Oxfordshire Way are glad to drop in to rest
and absorb the prayerful and peaceful atmosphere. The fabric of the building
has recently been extensively - and expensively - restored, for which the Friends
of Shorthampton have raised many thousands of pounds through different events
and trusts. The medieval wall paintings are to be restored, after a period of
monitoring the moisture in the building. A guide book, postcards and other items
are available for sale in the church. If you would like to help or become a
Friend of Shorthampton, contact the Vicar.
