The Bishop of Oxford offers a simple guide on how to get started in prayer. Try one of the approaches he suggests and find out the best way for you to pray.
Pray-as-you-go is a way to spend between 10 and 15 minutes in prayer, whether you are at home, walking the dog, or in the car. It can be listened to online or downloaded to your MP3 player or iPod.
Learn to pray gives advice on how to approach prayer, together with some daily morning and evening prayers from the Church of England, and night prayer (compline).
If you would like to submit a prayer request. Contact us iincluding the name of the person, the prayer request and whether they would like us to contact them, and your prayer request will be included in our prayers through the week in Church.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Funerals are usually arranged through a funeral director, and we are always pleased to work alongside them and help you think about the service you want for your loved one. Someone is always available to pray with you on the anniversary of a death too. Please contact us.

9.45am Parish Communion - A more contemporary service of Holy Communion with music, bible readings, sermon or talk, and Sunday Club and JAM (activities/worship for children and young people). Refreshments are served after the service. All ages welcome..
6pm (4pm in winter)
1st and 4th Sundays - Evening Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer
3rd Sundays - Holy Communion from Common Worshop
5th Sunday - Taize Service (not July or August and always at 6pm).
Prayer during the week
We meet for prayer in the Memorial Chapel (the glassed-in area to the right as you enter the church). These prayer times last for half an hour and include praise, bible reading and prayer for others, sometimes even a song or two. Tuesday prayers usually use liturgies and songs from the Iona Community.
Everyone is most welcome.
Morning Prayer: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday at 9am.
Evening Prayer: Monday - Thursday at 4.30pm.
Holy Communion: Wednesday at 9am.
