A Mid-Winter Night’s Quiz

With winter setting in, come join us for some warmth, light, and (quiz) joy.  Patrick Derham, rumoured to be in line for a cabinet position to oversee the the new national Quiz initiative, will once again set the questions.

Saturday, February 7th, at St. Mary’s beginning at 7pm.  Tickets are £15/person and teams will be made up of 6 people.  Hearty snacks and cash bar.

There will be a service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in St Mary’s Church on Sunday 25th January at 10am, led by Charlbury Baptist Church on behalf of Churches Together in Charlbury. The preacher is the Revd Dr Nick Wood.

There will be a retiring collection in aid of The Porch in Oxford and refreshments will be served after the service. All are welcome.

The AGM for Churches Together in Charlbury will follow after refreshments.

If you would like company and a lovely lunch do join us for a soup lunch in St Marys church 12noon – 2pm on Monday 26^th January and Monday 23^rd February.

No charge but donations welcome towards the work of Cornerstone in the community. If you’re able to, let us know you will be attending by emailing cornerstone@charlburychurch.uk

The Christmas Tree Festival is open until 2nd January. Come along and see the trees in the church and churchyard. Each tree has been sponsored and decorated to reflect an action or interest. There is also a Giving Tree (details here) if you would like to join in the initiative to sponsor a gift for a local child or a hamper for a local family.
