Success of Church Fete – photos and result

Last Saturday 30th May we held our Annual Church Fete in St Mary’s Churchyard. There was plenty of fun and lots to enjoy, including a visit from the local firefighters’ team with their fire engine, Children’s Choir, the local Morris Dancers, smashing plates, various stalls and of course the famous teddy zip wire. Refreshments included Pimms, Sausages in rolls (both of these kindly donated by the Bell) and Cream Teas in Church. All together we raised a record £3,200 which is a marvellous result. Our thanks to Paddy and his volunteers who all worked very hard on what was a hot but successful and fun day. Thanks to one and all!

Good Friday Holy Communion

In addition to the services for Holy Week advertised below, there will be a service of Holy Communion at St Mary’s on Good Friday at 8am. An opportunity to hear the story of the Passion of Christ, respond in silence and prayer, and receive Holy Communion from the Sacrament reserved from the Eucharist on Maundy Thursday.
